Executive Director

Dustin grew up in Dumont, Minnesota located near the North & South Dakota Border.  He studied Fine Art at Minnesota State University Moorhead, School of the Museum of Fine Arts (Boston), and the University of Nebraska – Lincoln (UNL). 

He has taught classes at UNL and the Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design and has extensive experience in the children’s playground manufacturing industry as well as commercial truck sales.  Dustin continues his professional art practice and has received several awards and accolades for his work including the prestigious two-year artist residency at RedLine Contemporary Art in Denver, CO.

During his education and professional career he has served on numerous boards and organizations.  He currently resides in Dickinson with his wife and two children and has proudly worked with the Southwest Art Gallery + Science Center since August 2022.
